SUMMARY:Clinical Consultation: for Black Mental Health Clinicians
DESCRIPTION:Open to providers in King\, Pierce\, and Snohomish Counties. \nThe fourth Thursday of the month June-December from 5:00pm-6:00pm  starting July 22nd at 5:00pm-6:00pm. (7/22\, 8/26\, 9/23\, 10/28\, 11/18*\, 12/16*) * means 3rd Thursday because of holiday. Registration is still open! \nThis group welcomes Black clinicians who are interested in serving childbearing families in a culturally-relevant way. We will provide support to approach perinatal mental health work with cultural humility and sensitivity with attention and emphasis to the intersections of race/class/gender/sexual orientation/ability/parenting experience.  \n  \nQualifications for attending:  \n\nYou are a Black clinician providing mental health services IN King\, Pierce or Snohomish County.\nYou serve Medicaid eligible clients\, have sliding-scale or low-cost options \nAnd have taken one of the listed (or an equivalent perinatal Mental Health 2-day training) in the last 1-2 years\n\nPromoting Parental Resilience (PS-WA)\n2-Day Practices and Best Practices in Prevention\, Identification and Treatment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders – 2 day Training (PS-WA)\nPSI’s 2 Day PMAD training\n2020 Mom-Perinatal Mental Health Training\n\n\n\nAbout the Clinical Consultation Groups: \n\nConsultations will meet once a month for six months 60-90 minute sessions via Zoom from June-December.\nConsultation is provided free of cost to providers.\nSessions will be a small group of clinicians all who attended a comprehensive two-day PMAD training that are seeing perinatal clients\, roughly 6-12 providers.\nIt will be a group consultation for case presentations and feedback from a perinatal mental health expert (from our PS-WA training team). There will be direct opportunities to share and get feedback from the facilitator as well as learn through others case presentations.\nAll consultations will use an intersectional and anti-oppressive lens in working with childbearing people. \nConsultations will be led by Perinatal Mental Health Specialists from each of the identified provider communities.  \n\n*Consultation does not meet requirements for clinical supervision.   \nREGISTER TODAY\nQuestions regarding this training\, please email training@perinatalsupport.org \nMeet the facilitator\, Natasha: Natasha Is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience working with children and families. Natasha enjoys working with women during their pregnancy journey and postpartum adjustment period. Natasha’s specialty is pregnancy and postpartum anxiety.  She uses a variety of integrative therapy approaches including strength-based approach\, mindfulness\, solution focused\, attachment-parenting theory and cognitive behavioral theory (CBT).

SUMMARY:Implementing Compassionate Perinatal Mental Health Screening and Referral
DESCRIPTION:This training is for Washington state providers who practice IN Pierce County. \nThis training covers the emotional adjustment to parenthood\, including key concepts and practices in effective screening and referral of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).  We will discuss the increase in risk factors and etiology/symptomatology of PMADs\, high risk populations for experiencing PMADs\, screening tools\, treatment options\, and supporting our clients as they navigate access to care.
