SUMMARY:Mental Health & Attachment During Pregnancy Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Date: Monday\, Jan 30\, 2023 \nTime: 11:30am-1:00pm PST \nCost: FREE \nLocation: Zoom \nPresenter: Lauren Perez\, PsyD \nMental health experiences during the perinatal period can vary and impact the attachment to the baby. In this conversation\, together we will aim to consider the impact of the pregnant person’s mental health and their attachment to the growing baby in a dyadic model. We will think together about a multidisciplinary team of supports in the health care system and ways to collaborate. We will hold in mind community-based practices serving a multicultural population of pregnant people and their babies\, newborns\, young children\, and caregivers. \nTogether we will acknowledge the vulnerabilities of the people served and discuss non-didactic psychoeducation\, anticipatory guidance\, trauma informed practices and culturally attuned interventions\, with a social justice lens. Lastly\, we will discuss the types of services\, a single service offering (one-time visit) or ongoing service offering providing knowledge of perinatal stages\, prematurity\, and typical development of children and exposure to a range of risks\, protective factors\, and biopsychosocial influences on developmental outcomes. \n*This Webinar is useful for all providers who come into contact with perinatal clients from pre-conception through parenthood. \nREGISTER NOW\nThis webinar does not provide any Continuing Education Units (CEUs). \nThis webinar will be recorded and available on the Perinatal Support WA webinar page.  If you cannot attend in person\, you do not need to register.  Recording will be uploaded approximately 1 month after the training. \nThis free webinar is available to anyone working with families during the perinatal period and is offered by Perinatal Support WA through a grant from Strengthening Families Washington at the Department of Children\, Youth\, and Families (DCYF). \nLauren Perez\, PsyD\nLauren is a licensed clinical psychologist that provides reflective facilitation and training; infant\, perinatal\, child therapy and is rostered in child-parent psychotherapy; infant and early childhood mental health consultation; and perinatal mental health and reproductive justice services both within inpatient and outpatient services\, as well as other community settings. As a bilingual and bicultural Latina clinician\, she provides trauma informed and culturally responsive direct services\, consultation\, and reflective facilitation in both English and Spanish.
