SUMMARY:Mindfulness Strategies for the Perinatal Period: Simple & Effective Tools to Use with Parents in this Season of Life Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Date: May 12\, 2022 \nTime: 12pm-1:15pm PST \nCost: FREE \nLocation: Zoom \nPresenter: Michelle Anderson\, LMHC\, PMH-C \nWhere do we start in our work with perinatal clients? We begin by meeting them exactly where they are\, offering support via mindfulness and simple interventions. It will also provide concrete and simple tools to help parents develop structures and understanding to manage the transition to parenthood including: \n(1) How to assess and address their essential self-care\, \n(2) How to identify and apply the skills of self-regulation\, \n(3) How to manage mood and anxiety concerns with gentleness and ease. \nThese Mobile Mama Tools were designed and developed specifically for mothers and parents in the perinatal stage. \n*This Webinar is useful for all providers who come into contact with perinatal clients from pre-conception through parenthood. \nREGISTER NOW\nThis webinar does not provide any Continuing Education Units (CEUs). \nThis webinar will be recorded and available on the Perinatal Support WA webinar page.  If you cannot attend in person\, you do not need to register.  Recording will be uploaded approximately 1 month after the training. \nThis free webinar is available to anyone working with families during the perinatal period and is offered by Perinatal Support WA through a grant from Strengthening Families Washington at the Department of Children\, Youth\, and Families (DCYF). \nMichelle Anderson\, LMHC\, PMH-C\, is the owner of Mobile Mama Strategies\, a group counseling practice based in Bellingham\, Washington that focuses on Therapy\, Training for providers and Tools for Motherhood.
