Lashanna regularly lives and works in the intersections of death\, art\, education and love. Her end-of-life work is rooted in a community deathcare model.  Lashanna holds a solid\, grounded space for her clients\, regularly bringing great comfort to a time that can feel out of control.  Her knowledge\, skill\, and experience allow her to assist people and their families in their time of death.  Lashanna not only works with people imminently facing death or who have been given a terminal diagnosis; she also works with those living their life fully and wants a doula relationship in place for when death does come closer or an accident occurs. As the Executive Director of A Sacred Passing\, Lashanna joins in community collaboration\, creating engaging and productive death-and-dying educational materials and opportunities for the community and professionals to learn.  While instructing massage students or doulas\, she works to impress the importance of keeping one’s agenda and judgment out of the process while centering on listening\, trust\, and autonomy. “If energy is neither created or destroyed\, I am quite sure we’ve met sometime before” – thegoodwitchofcascadia \nMarquita is a Perinatal Grief & Trauma Therapist\, Death Doula\, and founder of Imani’s Light Grief & Wellness Center. SUMMARY:Postpartum Support International Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Postpartum Support International\, a non-profit\, is committed to supporting all people during the perinatal period. We know and understand how challenging the perinatal season can be due to stress\, inherent discrimination in the system\, fluctuating hormones\, and other complicated feelings. We have a weekly support group\, Latinx Support every Thursday\, 1st & 3rd @ 4:30p; 2nd & 4th @ 12p\, PST. \nThis group is for anyone pregnant or postpartum (up to two years) and identifies as Latina\, Latinx\, or Latino. There is no definition or level of being “enough Latinx.” All are welcome who have a familial connection to Latinx culture. Our online groups help you connect with other parents\, talk about your experience\, and learn about helpful tools and resources. Whether you are going through stress\, adjustment to parenting\, baby blues\, pregnancy or postpartum depression/anxiety\, our groups are here for you. This group is in English\, so group members will benefit most if they can understand and speak some English (perfection is not required!). We do have Spanish-speaking groups as well\, which can be found here. We do not allow group observation by students or professionals. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. ***The group space will be closed once we reach 16 members OR we have started talk time. ** 🔔 PLEASE NOTE: THIS GROUP IS FIRST COME\, FIRST SERVE. We allow the first 16 members to join. Thank you for understanding! \nLearn more here: https://sharewellnow.com/session/2a7e05fb-ce31-4bc0-8023-d530d6bb1a3a

SUMMARY:Whatcom Thriving Fathers
DESCRIPTION:“Grill & Chill” meetings during the fall and winter months are held Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm weekly at the Whatcom Family Village: 1501 Fraser St M-104\, Bellingham\, WA 98229. \nBabes in arms and very young children are always welcome at the weekly groups! This time is set aside to be a safe space for Dads to share freely so that makes it tricky to include older children; however\, seasonal family events are currently being planned! \nWeekly meetings include a BBQ meal and a space to share the joys and challenges of raising small humans! (The meal is FREE\, but optional donations to cover costs are welcome.) \nAbout us:\nWhatcom Thriving Fathers is dedicated to fostering a supportive community for fathers in Whatcom County. We understand that fatherhood can come with its unique challenges\, and we believe that by coming together\, we can create an environment where fathers feel strengthened and connected. Our mission is to provide peer support\, educational resources\, and engaging family activities that encourage personal growth and strengthen family bonds. With a commitment to inclusivity and understanding\, we invite fathers from all backgrounds to join us on this journey of thriving together. \nEmail whatcomthrivingfathers@gmail.com
