SUMMARY:Foundations in Perinatal Mental Health (Kittitas County)
DESCRIPTION:*Registration is Full* \nThis training is open to WA state professionals who practice in Kittitas County. \nThis training covers key concepts and practices in the prevention\, identification and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders\n(PMADs)\, as well as how to link parents to support and treatment. In this training we will cover risk factors\, symptoms\, and causes of PMADs and how this impacts families\, including high risk populations experiencing PMADs\, and the intersection of perinatal mental health and trauma.  In addition\, topics will include medication in the perinatal period\, screening tools\, making effective referrals\, and creating client led support. \nThis training will be dynamic and interactive\, with opportunities to network with peers and colleagues to create deeper connections between resources and services.  Expect to walk away with fresh insights into perinatal mental health\, practical tools to implement immediately in your work with clients\, and new perspectives on how to support birthing people and their families.
