Somatic and Nature-Based Approaches for Perinatal Mental Health in Immigrant Communities Webinar

Open to WA state professionals who work with perinatal families in WA state.
Research, data, and storytelling from around the world tells us that connecting to the body and connecting to nature can bring healing opportunities across cultures. Addressing perinatal mental health with these approaches opens up opportunities to connect with wellbeing in a way that is responsive and attuned to the experiences that people from all over the world may bring with them. In this 90 minute webinar, we will explore the approach, applications, and effectiveness of techniques such as EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing; MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction; and many others. Participants will take away awareness and knowledge of accessible and effective ways to promote mental health in the perinatal period.
