Perinatal Support Washington and the WA State Dept. of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) are pleased to announce the 2021-2022 Strengthening Families WA funding recipients:

  • First 5 Fundamentals/Pierce County Help Me Grow
  • Step by Step, Pierce County
  • Youth and Family Link, Cowlitz County
  • First Steps, Clallam County
  • United Way of Skagit County
  • East African Community Services, King County
  • NW Center, NICU/Early Start Providers
  • Whatcom Family & Community Network
  • Okanogan County Child Development Association (OCCDA)
  • Klickitat County Public Health

These grants support underserved communities and populations with limited access to services by facilitating task forces, parent support groups and trainings around perinatal mental health. With broad community representation and collaboration, these organizations address barriers and work to improve overall healthcare with a focus on increasing community capacity to support families of color. By raising awareness, knowledge, and connecting people to resources, these grants help sustain and align efforts to furthering community and family engagement, and increase perinatal mental health outcomes.

A special thanks to DCYF for their ongoing support and partnership!

Our newsletters offer parents and professionals in-depth coverage on issues that impact childbearing families. We send 4-6 newsletters per year, as well as upcoming training alerts to providers. We recommend health care providers sign up for both our parent and professional newsletters, as our parent newsletter offers valuable information for your clients.
