WANT TO SUPPORT OUR WORK?
“You saved my LIFE!!!” - a former Warm Line caller
THE PROBLEM WE’RE WORKING TO SOLVE:
1 in 5 of women - 1 in 3 women of color - experience a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, like depression or anxiety, surrounding the birth of a child. In Washington state, that’s roughly 22,000 women every year.
Untreated, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders can compromise the emotional, cognitive, and physical development of a child; it can place an infant at a higher risk of abuse or neglect; and can even result in the loss of a new mom’s life.
Unfortunately, between our confusing mental health system, lack of trained professionals, and other social, cultural and financial barriers, parents simply aren’t getting the care they deserve.
“With my practice now seeing about 20 women/mamas, I am so grateful to have been able to learn and connect to this resource! Thank you, thank you!!!!”
- one of 1,000+ providers we trained in 2019
HOW YOU CAN HELP US SOLVE IT:
For 31 years we’ve connected parents with the appropriate resources to safeguard their mental health and their growing families.
We connect parents experiencing anxiety and depression with others who’ve been through it, educate providers to better identify and treat affected families, provide access to a network of trained clinicians, and raise awareness of this public health issue.
Early recognition and intervention is essential.
That’s why we need your help. With your support, we can shine a light on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and give women and families the care they need.
