A Look at Community Based Perinatal Mental Health Task Forces to Address Gaps in Care

This presentation will provide an overview of PS-WAs Perinatal Mental Health Initiative- a state wide project to support community-level change through the creation of local perinatal mental health task forces. We will provide an overview of the model with examples from WA state task forces to highlight how individual communities can impact gaps in care for parents. Task Force Leaders from Whatcom Co will present their work over the last 3 years. Lastly, we will provide information about an upcoming grant opportunity through Strengthening Families Washington to bring this work to your community.
