Drop In Perinatal Mental Health Training & Consultation for WA state Non-Clinical Providers

Open to all providers based in Washington state.

PS-WA is excited to offer a new learning and consultation opportunity for professionals who are not mental health professionals.  This small group consultation will provide a community of practice for professionals who often find themselves holding clients during the perinatal period who may be experiencing perinatal mental health needs.  Consultation will be a combination of  clinical case consultation, additional learning on specific topics such as different perinatal mental health experiences, introducing and talking about perinatal mental health with clients, using screening tools, finding community resources and more.  

This training and consultation opportunity will be mostly discussion, please come with questions, case consults, and more.  Ideal for any professional working with childbearing people – home visitors, case managers, WIC, public health,  lactation supporters, midwives, doulas, early childhood providers, and more.

Dates & Time: Every 2nd Wednesday beginning October 12th for 9 months from 2pm-3pm PST.

2023: Jan 11th, Feb 8th, March 8th, April 12th, May 10th, June 7

Michelle Anderson, LMHC, PMH-C, is the owner of Mobile Mama Strategies, a group counseling practice based in Bellingham, Washington that focuses on Therapy, Training for providers and Tools for Motherhood. Additionally, Michelle is a trainer and consultant for Perinatal Support Washington, teaching their 10-month long Advanced PMH Training and Consultation courses. In her work over the last 15 years, Michelle has designed simple and effective Tools for Mothers (and parents) based on a trauma-informed, mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach.
